Former Barcelona striker David Villa says that he is confident that his former team can win the treble this campaign.

The striker left the Spanish club on a free transfer after his contract came to an end. Villa knew that he did not have a future left at Barcelona after falling down the pecking order. His importance was further reduced after the club decided to sign Luis Suarez from Barcelona even before the World Cup 2014 began. Suarez moved to the Camp Nou just after the World Cup had completed. Villa will now be playing in the MLS for New York City FC.
