EMERY COMPARES ATTACKING DUO WITH DAVID VILLA

Unai Emery has been exceptional in his first season at the Emirates as Arsenal are in the hunt for the top 4 and also face Napoli in the Europa league. the Spanish tactician has been able to get the best out of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this season.

Both players have contributed a total of 37 goals for the Gunners as the club continues to fight in two competitions. Emery recently claimed that both players are among the best forwards that he has coached in his career. this is a huge statement by the former Sevilla boss as he has worked with legendary strikers like Fernando Morientes and David Villa.

Emery has also coached French prodigy Kylian Mbappe, Edinson Cavani and Neymar during his time at PSG to good success. Emery revealed that he enjoyed working with Roberto Soldado and Aritz Aduriz during his time at Valencia.

Emery also continued by saying that every striker that he has worked with had different qualities but were united by their quest to score many goals.

Emery has been able to make Lacazette and Aubameyang work together upfront which has surprised many as both players were traditionally the lone Frenchmen at different points under Wenger last season.

Both forwards complement one another, Lacazette is excellent with his hold up play and can also pass well while Aubameyang is a pacy poacher that thrives on the back of the last defender.  Arsenal currently sits 5th in the EPL table with a game in hand over third-placed Chelsea.

The Gunners despite possessing one of the best home records in the league have been woeful away from home winning just five matches.  This was on showcase last Sunday as they fell to limp defeat at Everton. Emery would be hopeful that his front duo can help push the team over the line.
