David Villa has said that he is very happy to be scoring his 150th goal in his career. ‘El Guaje’ opened the scoring with a neat finish through the legs of Daniel Aranzubia, and from that moment on the Blaugrana were in control, adding further goals from Pedro, Andres Iniesta and a glorious free-kick from Lionel Messi.

Speaking to the media after the match, the Spanish international said of reaching the milestone: “I am happy to have got my goal. There are certain fields where I am better at scoring than others, and I am glad to have reached that level here.

“Despite enjoying this current run however, we have a great team in Real Madrid who lurk behind, and so we must go on. Today we have played well, and the result says it all.”

Villa may well have some new team-mates to help them fight off Cristiano Ronaldo‘s Real Madrid in the league, with Fabricio Coloccini linked to the club in recent weeks.
