Villa to get back into the game

Footballer, David Villa wounded the back of his left thigh on 2nd February in the Atletico vs. Real Sociedad match where they enjoyed a 4-0 victory. Atletico Madrid had to intently wait to find out how bad the injury really was. Villa had to sit out on Sunday’s game after 41 minutes due to the injury.

He had to go through training sessions to recover from the hamstring strain so that he could be prepared for his comeback to Atletico Madrid. On Thursday, he was finally able to fully participate in the Atletico Madrid practices. He returned to practice after missing out on nearly two weeks. He unfortunately missed the La Liga defeat to Almeria as well as Copa del Rey semi-final loss to Real Madrid.

32 year old David Villa is a valuable player and Diego Simone has important plans for him. Due to his injury, he will not play the initial matches. He will be on the bench for the Real Valladolid match. The AS claims that it will be highly unlikely for the Spain international to start the game. He will probably have to be on the bench.

There are expectations for Villa to be fully functional by the end of this month for the Milan Champions League.AS also reports seeing Filipe sprinting while in training.

Their recent matches led to them losing their top spot. Also, there were a quite a few injuries besides David Villa. Thibaut Courtois missed the last 2 games because of his back injury and he will soon resume his training. Javi Banquillo, though discharged from the hospital will have to wear a neck collar for precaution for at least four to six weeks. This was the result of heavy fall against Real Madrid.

Substitutes are being thought of for the missing players.
